I have been looking for a new under eye concealer recently, and decided that Avon’s Anew Age-Transforming concealer looked very similar to YSL’s best selling Touche Éclat. At a fraction of the price, I thought I would give it a go before repurchasing my beloved Touche Éclat.
Anew is Avon’s anti-ageing range, so I instantly thought this would be a great quality in an eye product. It contains SPF15 to protect your skin from UV rays whist supposedly “disguising dark circles and fine wrinkles for younger looking eyes”.
It comes in only two shades: Fair and Medium. I chose to purchase Fair, as I had heard that the shades are quite dark. I was so glad about this, as I would definitely describe the Fair as a more ‘medium’ shade with yellow undertones.
I have to admit, I was left a little disappointed with this concealer. I think the consistency was a little too thick, which made it feel heavy as it didn’t glide across my under-eye skin very easily. The coverage was good, however quite orangey – perfect for a concealer during the summer for me, but too dark for the winter months.
I usually LOVE Avon products, but this particular product was sadly not my cup of tea,
The Anew concealer costs £9 (although Avon often have great deals where it is reduced) and can be found online HERE
