Bodycare Products for Dry, Sensitive Skin

Whilst I have oily skin on my face, the rest of my skin is dry and very sensitive. I react to a fair few ingredients and my delicate skin even struggles if my shower water is too warm!

This year one of my New Year’s resolutions was to take better care of the skin on my body, as I’ve previously just focused on my facial skin. I’ve been using the gentle new Almond Milk & Honey range from The Body Shop to soothe my skin, so i thought I would share my body care routine with you.

I cleanse my skin with The Body Shop’s Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Caring Shower Cream. I use it every time I shower, and it honestly turns even the fastest and most rushed of showers into a more luxurious experience. It seems to gently cleanse my skin without stripping it of its natural moisture and somehow seems to condition my skin as it cleanses.

Twice a week I deeply cleanse my skin with the Almond Milk & Honey Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub. When you have dry skin, excess dead skin cells can linger, so a gentle exfoliate can help to remove them, which reduces any dry patches and leaves the skin feeling much more smooth. This body scrub keeps my skin feeling soft but yet is not too abrasive, so doesn’t upset my sensitive skin.

In the morningĀ I use the Almond Milk and Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion to rehydrate my skin. It’s fast-absorbing so I don’t have to wait more than a couple of minutes before I can put my skinny jeans on! This body lotion has a lightweight consistency and a gentle fragrance which leave my skin feeling soft and cared for, nourished and protected.

Intense Moisturising:

In the evening before bed I scoop out some Almond Milk and Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Butter. The body butter is a lot richer and creamier than the body lotion, so I tend to save this until the evening to let it work its magic as I sleep. It’s fantastic for relieving tight skin yet feels gentle on my skin and almost cools it. Although it makes my skin feel great, it’s not as fast-absorbing as the body lotion, which is why I apply it in the evening rather than when I’m in a rush in the morning!

Overall, The Body Shop’s Almond Milk and Honey range is great at caring for my sensitive, dry skin. It is very reasonably priced and has a gentle yet soothing scent which instantly makes me feel calm. It’s very effective at hydrating, soothing and protecting my skin. The almond milk used within the range is organic, and the range is free from colourants, mineral oil and petrolatum.
