The Goldsmiths jewellers in Milton Keynes has completely refitted their store and modernised the interior of the shop with a fresh makeover. Alongside new decor, they have new arrivals of jewellery every single week, so there are always a lot of lovely pieces to choose from.
Last weekend, I was invited to the newly opened shop to see what they had to offer. I was greeted by a calm yet helpful team of staff who made me feel welcome. Within moments of arrival, I was offered a drink and asked whether I would like any assistance finding something in particular. There wasn’t anything I initially had in mind, so I decided to slowly browse the store.
At first there was a couple sat at a table at the back of the shop, discussing jewellery with a member of staff over some drinks, another couple were being served at the till and I was wandering around browsing the beautiful collections. The staff seemed very attentive and it appeared to be a very personalised shopping experience for the customers.
I love jewellery. I’m actually really passionate about yellow gold antique rings with various stones, and love subtle, classic yet intricate designs. I’m quite particular with my jewellery taste and therefore spent quite a while browsing every item. After admiring each and every item at least twice, Andy and I tried on a watch each that caught our eyes. He was taken by a black Emporio Armani watch, and I had my eye on a silver and yellow gold Tissot watch. One of the members of staff kindly lifted both watches out of the cabinets, so we could try them on and admire them more closely.
A glass of prosecco, a lot of dithering and a few photos later, I decided on the Tissot watch*, and two pairs of stud earrings*. (Take a look at the photos above to see my beautiful ‘haul’!)
The team kindly resized my watch to fit my wrist perfectly by removing a few of the links, and carefully boxed up the other pieces in branded gift boxes and a lovely Goldsmiths bag.
My watch and earrings have been greatly admired this week (as I’ve worn them all every day!) and I’m sure I shall continue to enjoy wearing them.
