A Little Fragrance Direct Haul

Since I’m now blogging for me, and to make me happy, I thought I’d start off with the type of post I used to love to write when I first started my blog back in 2013. A shopping haul!

I recently picked up a few lovely bits from Fragrance Direct, so I thought I would share what I chose.

If I’m honest, I had assumed that Fragrance Direct simply sold fragrance, but it turns out that they stock a whole host of beauty goodness. When I discovered this, I spent AGES on the website. Don’t get me wrong – it’s not hard to navigate or anything like that, I simply found myself wanting to visit nearly every page, discovering new brands and admiring beautiful products.

The first product I stumbled upon was the Remescar Spider Veins cream. Remescar is a brand I came across a while ago, but hadn’t previously tried. I had heard how popular their scar-healing products were, so took a look at the range of products. The Spider Veins treatment really caught my eye, as it is something that has been really bothering me lately. I have tiny spider veins on my legs, and also around my nose (probably because I’m forever catching a cold), and they really knock my self-confidence. I’ve actually been speaking to a couple of skin clinics recently about how to get rid of them. So, before I resort to expensive and painful laser treatments, I thought I’d give this cream a go!

I then discovered Urban Veda products on Fragrance Direct. Urban Veda actually hosted the first blogging event I went to, and I’m a huge fan of a lot of their products (you’ve probably heard me mention them before). In fact, I recently posted on Instagram that their Radiance Body Lotion is the first body lotion I have ever completely finished! So, naturally I popped another Urban Veda Radiance Body Lotion into my basket, and then treated myself to a Radiance Day Cream too. They both are based on Ayurveda and contain turmeric to balance and brighten your skin, and the brand is both cruelty-free and vegan-friendly as well as being a natural skincare brand. They absorb quickly and leave my skin feeling (and smelling) incredible, and I’m sure I’ll be stocking up on more of the range very soon!

It then struck me that it would be weird to order from Fragrance Direct without picking up a fragrance, so I treated myself to a little bottle of Ellie Saab eau de toilette. Initially it was the pretty bottle that drew me in, but I’m so glad that it did, because it smells beautiful. It has a really light and delicate floral fragrance (that’s pretty summery) but perfect for daytime wear. It’s feminine but not too over the top, and I’ve been wearing it pretty much every day.

When scrolling through the impressive list of brands they stock, I spotted Lord & Berry. I tried this makeup brand when I received some pieces in a goody bag back in November/December time last year, and I really liked the brand. I haven’t really seen it about much, but I thought I would try something else from the range. Despite owning an extortionate number of lip products, I decided to get a lip crayon. It has a creamy texture, beautiful colour and lasts for ages though, so it has quickly become one of my daily go-tos!

Anyway, I’m really pleased with my first little Fragrance Direct haul, and I shall definitely be heading there again soon to restock my beauty stash!

Unfortunately my student days as well and truly behind me, but if you are a student, they offer 10% discount all year round to students via UniDays – so definitely worth a visit for all your beauty essentials!
